Sidarta

« Sidarta » est une libre adaptation scénique du roman de Hermann Hesse, « Siddhartha »

La première représentation a eu lieu le 26 juin 2008 à Sokhamon, Dakar

Spectacle pour 5 danseurs chorégraphié par Marta Szepietowska. La pièce est inspirée des danses africaines, du théâtre japonais buto et de l'oeuvre de deux grands hommes de théâtre polonais: Tadeusz Kantor et Krystian Lupa.

Au Sénégal, comme dans d’autres pays d’Afrique, la richesse de la danse traditionnelle offre au danseur une immense ouverture à l’exploration des formes inépuisables du langage corporel, et le rend ainsi particulièrement disponible à l’improvisation.

« Sidarta » est à la fois danse et théâtre.

“Sidarta” is a free stage adaptation of Hermann Hesse’s novel, “Siddhartha”

The first performance show took place on 26 June 2008 at Sokhamon in Dakar.

A piece for 5 dancers choreographed by Marta Szepietowska. Inspired by African dance, Japanese buto theatre and the work of two great men in Polish theatre: Tadeusz Kantor and Krystian Lupa.

In Senegal, as in other African countries, the wealth of traditional dance offers the dancer the immense opportunity of exploring endless expressions of body language, therefore allowing him to be particularly open to improvisation.

“Sidarta” is both dance and theatre.
